Winter Miscellany

Well, as happens every winter, it seems, I kind of dropped off the face of the earth for a couple months. I have absolutely no use for February whatsoever, and March was marginally better. But, now it’s April and things are starting to look up and I’ve rejoined the land of the living - so here are pictures from random events since Christmas.

It didn’t REALLY snow here until February this year. But February made up for the rest of the winter by giving us copious amounts of the stuff.

In March, Emily was short listed for an art contest. She was so proud and excited!! So were we!

Emily’s teacher gave her a Junie B. Jones book for Christmas, and ever since then, she’s been off and running with reading! She’s absolutely addicted to Junie and plows right through them with alarming speed. We let her read before bed, and a lot of the time Daniel wants her to read aloud to him, which I think is really sweet. Good practice for Emily, and good sibling bonding for the two of them!

They also still like to have “sleepovers” with each other. I’m glad they’re friends to each other. It warms my heart to see. I wonder if that’s how God feels when he sees us treating loving other people?
